Anti-shrinkage technology for water well drilling RIGS in salt layers

Salt layerscreep and plastic deformation easily lead to diameter shrinkage, severely affecting water well drilling rig operations. To prevent shrinkage:

  1. Adopt casing wall protection. Install casing immediately after drilling to isolate salt layers from borehole fluids, stopping further deformation.
  2. Reasonably control drilling speed and mud properties. Avoid excessive speed to reduce disturbance, and increase mud density/viscosity to strengthen wall support.
  3. Use salt-layer-specific anti-shrinkage bits. Their special design trims the borehole wall during drilling, maintaining stable diameter for smooth rig work in salt layers.water well drilling rig
