  1. In sand (f=1-2), set impact frequency to 300-350 times/min. Rotation speed: 20-25r/min. Keep drill pipe thrust at 15-20kN to drill fast without disturbing hole walls.
  2. For sandstone (f=5-6), lower impact frequency to 250 times/min. Rotation speed: 15r/min. Push thrust to 25-30kN. Turn on secondary dust removal to reduce wear.
  3. In basalt (f>12), cut impact frequency to 180-200 times/min. Rotation speed: 8-10r/min. Thrust must exceed 35kN. A water well drilling rig should lift bits every 1m, cool them with high-pressure air, and check alloy tooth wear.
