In water well drilling rig operations, soft soils need different strategies by depth.

 

  1. For shallow clay (0-20m): Use light scraper bits with low pressure for fast drilling.
  2. For mid-depth loam (20-50m): Switch to heavy spiral bits to boost cuttings removal.
  3. For deep clay with high-pressure water: Use water-stop bits to prevent mud loss.
